Although Northeast Animal Shelter is known for finding homes for cats and dogs, this summer we participated in a Small Animal Adoption event, and it was a big success! We started with 25 rabbits and guinea pigs, and by the time the event was over, 18 were on their way to new loving homes.
A rabbit named Frankie was adopted by a family who has two other rabbits. Guinea pigs Baby and Rosie “purred” as they waited to be adopted. And thanks to our new small animal foster care program, the remaining smalls will be well cared for until they too find forever homes.
