Our pup (on the right in the picture) is amazing. We renamed him Cody, because it just seemed to fit him better 🙂 Cody has fallen right into swing in this family! He LOVES our senior pup Roscoe, who has really been helping teach Cody manners. And Cody is learning to give Roscoe his space when he needs it 😉 The two can often be found napping together.
Cody’s going to be a big boy – he’s already well over 40 pounds! He’s just a mush though, and loves to be cuddled. Cody is extremely smart, and already knows his name, sit, lie down, shake, and stay. We’re working on “off”, which is a little tricky for him. He certainly loves food, and has a habit of diving onto the kids’ laps when they’re eating. We joke that we should have named him Pudge. He’s doing phenomenally on the leash, and is starting to learn “heal” pretty well. We’re working on not pulling when he sees other dogs and people, and he’s starting to get it!
Cody’s been so great with our kids who are almost 6 and 8 (and constantly loving on him). He loves his crate, and was already making it through the night without having to go outside after just a couple of weeks. Now he’s completely house trained – such a smart boy!
We tell everyone who will listen about the Northeast Animal Shelter – we’re so impressed with your adoption process and the way that you care for your animals. Thank you for Cody – we are so in love! Cody just sits and stares at me when I’m at my desk trying to get work done. Needless to say…he makes it hard, lol. Who could resist that face!?!
Thanks again from our whole family for all of the great work that you do.
