We are thrilled with our new family member! Holly is now Rey, and she is a wonderful dog! She took no time at all to adjust and we’ve been socializing her like crazy. She loves other dogs. Even though she is a little cautious when first meeting a new person, she warms up quickly. Rey is best friends with Max’s mom’s Chihuahua/Pug mix, Bear. They have frequent visits and love to run around the back yard together. We’re anxious for her to be old enough to take to the dog park right down the street.
Rey is a quick learner who can master tricks in minutes, and she already has great manners when walking on the leash. Now that the weather is getting warmer, we’re out all the time either walking and exploring or play fetch in the yard. She is also a snuggler, especially in the mornings. She’ll cry to get out of her crate in the morning, but she needs some snooze time to stretch in bed wth us before she goes outside. She’s pretty much house trained at this point with only the occasional accident. She is eating well and getting bigger.
We can’t thank you guys enough for all of your help in the process of adopting Rey! We really wanted to take our time to make sure we got the perfect fit for our family, and Rey is just that. We feel so incredibly lucky to have her in our lives!
