From the moment we met Penny (who was originally named “Leigh”) at the Northeast Animal Shelter in June 2014, we’ve fallen more in love with her everyday. After a long voyage from Dothan, Alabama to Salem, MA, Penny was in need of some medical care and TLC, which we are so grateful to the Northeast Animal Shelter for generously providing her with. She is the most treasured member of the family who loves to give out kisses, snoop for food, cuddle, chew on her bone, gaze out the window, and take long mindful walks smelling every blade of grass. Her calm demeanor is a perfect match for our family and we couldn’t be more happy with our decision to have her join us. If you are considering rescuing a pet, we couldn’t endorse the experience more strongly. Penny has brought us so much joy and love. We are grateful everyday that she chose us to come home with! 🙂
