I lost my Bailey in April of this year, after 13 years, and wasn’t ready for another dog…my sister insisted that I go to NEAS the day before CLEAR THE SHELTERS, to, as she said, get a jump on adopting and having a good selection…none of the dogs seemed to be the right one, until my niece noticed Callie (formerly Kala) outside…when she came into her kennel, we found out that she had a respiratory illness and wasn’t yet cleared for adoption, but one look and I knew she was the one…we picked her up the following Monday, and she is cute, and a lot of puppy trouble, but you just look at her face and her crooked ears and forgive her naughtiness…
