My boyfriend and I adopted Lex (formally Michael Ray) and Lana (formally Kelsea Ballerini) on July 2nd at 2 months old. We made the choice to adopt several months after the sudden death of our beloved cat, who we had for 14 years. Our home was so empty but thanks to the kittens it is again filled with joy and excitement. Lana has been a wild girl from the start, who loves to be cuddled, play and get into everything. Lex on the other hand had a harder time adjusting and didn’t trust us for almost four weeks. However, he followed the lead of his sister and is now a little playful guy, full of personality and affection. The two of them together are a sight to see, together all the time, sleeping, playing, eating, etc. Having two kittens in the house is so much fun and I look forward to coming home from work every day and having my little buddies waiting for me. I am so so glad I got them both. My experience with the shelter during the adoption process was amazing as well. Thanks NEAS for the new additions to our family!
