Indiana (formerly Melody) has been wonderful. She is definitely eating and sleeping very well and she is one of the most loving and affectionate dogs I have ever met.
She responds well to basic training and seems to really enjoy the company of people and other dogs. I look forward to sitting on the couch with her at night after a good day of exercise and play. She will keep me company with her head on my lap for hours before bed.
I reached out to the rescuer and foster parent noted in the documentation, Dina Wood. She seemed very happy to hear that this pup was in a good home and was adjusting well. I couldn’t thank her enough for what she had done for this puppy during some of the most important weeks of her life. She told me that she rescued her and her siblings from a kill shelter. My heart sank but it just made me realize how lucky we both are for Dina’s efforts as well as the efforts from everyone at Northeast Animal Shelter.
And, with Indiana as my inspiration, I have now founded Ruff Life Photography at http://www.rufflifephotos.com/boston-rescue-dog-photography-blog/photos-and-stories-of-boston-rescue-dogs. Please visit my site to learn more about Indiana and see some beautiful pictures of dogs rescued by the greater Boston community.
