We lost one cat in Feb 2012 to renal failure (12 yrs), another in Dec 2013 to diabetes (15 yrs) and another in May 2014 (16 yrs) to renal failure, leaving us only with George (7 yrs). My husband and I agreed that we couldn’t have just one pet, and that George needed a friend, so we decided to “re-stock.”  We wanted a cat closer to George’s age and a little on the chubby size because George is as well and we figured they could be diet buddies together!

We saw Freddy and his story on the website (his owner passed away and he was sad) and I knew immediately that I wanted to meet him. When the volunteer opened his cage, I put my hand out and he immediately started rubbing face against my hand. I was hooked! The look on my husband’s face said it all. My heart was crushed from losing my fur babies, and he was sad from losing his owner. It was a match made in heaven. He loves cuddling with us and we love it as well. As you can see from the picture, Freddy is in heaven. He purrs and purrs until he falls asleep. And then he snores! haha. Thank you so much NEAS. He’s perfect!
