Zoe (known at NEAS as Kasey) was rescued two years ago by my husband and me. Her sister, Emily, was rescued the day after. I grew up with dogs who were either from stores or breeders, but then after having the best dog ever (a rescue), I never get anything but rescue dogs from now on.
After we picked Zoe up, I searched for the name of the shelter where she had been in TN, and found on their Facebook page photos of her, her siblings and their mother. Turns out the two puppies that were in the photo were adopted, and before getting adopted, the pup’s mother also nursed a litter who had lost their own mother.
