We lost our doggy Mario in November, and our household was quiet and sad without a special four-legged friend. We waited until late December and we decided to “just go see” what friends we could find at Northeast Animal Shelter. Our friends had adopted a dog from there not long ago and told us of a positive experience. We went on a Friday afternoon and Audie was the cutest dog of the bunch, but someone had pulled his card to apply to adopt him. We were disappointed, but decided to come back early on Saturday morning to see if he was still there. We went back, and Audie was still there! We were so happy. A few hours later we took home a sweet and cuddly guy and renamed him Ralphie. He is happy and loving and we are grateful that he is a part of our family!
