So after being divorced for 7 years and coming home to nothing else breathing in my home but me, I knew it was time for a companion. My parents suggested a cat, but never owning one before I was a little leery, even though they have always had cats and I always enjoyed them. My niece Christina is a volunteer at the NEAS, so one day when my Dad dropped her off there he went in to take a look at the cats. He called me immediately when he saw Minky (aka Slim Shady)…all 20 pounds of him! I adopted him on my birthday and he is the best present I could have ever asked for! Not only does he follow me everywhere but OMG can he talk! Can’t imagine not having him as my shadow!
