When I was 10 my family adopted my dog Dutchess from Northeast Animal Shelter. Thirteen years later she’s still bringing joy and love to my family. When I decided to adopt a dog of my own, I knew exactly where to go. The moment Lacey (formerly Helga) came into the room to meet Dutchess and the rest of the family, I knew she was the dog for me! She started with a big kiss and then rolled onto her back for a belly rub! Lacey is the most lovable, cuddly pup anyone could ask for. She always knows how to make you smile and has found a best friend in her new sister Dutchess!
