I adopted my pup Daisy (who was then named Princess) in June 2011 from Northeast Animal Shelter. First, let me just say that the staff did an amazing job at helping me find a dog that would fit my lifestyle. They were superb! Daisy has developed into a great best friend. She came to me at 8 months, initially having been found as a stray in South Carolina. She had clearly been abused based on her fear of strangers and a few other reactions that came up along the way. We have worked with a couple trainers and it’s been an investment of time and energy, but its been completely worth it. I recommend adopting from Northeast Animal Shelter to anyone looking for a furry addition to their family.
