I adopted Wallaston (now Pancake) on June 21, 2013. I had rescued his “sister” Mosby in October 2012 and I knew she needed a sibling. I went into NEAS “just to look” and found a crate of 3 little kittens right up at the front. When I first held Wallaston in my arms and he looked up at me with that little black nose, I was in love. I just had to bring him home! He and Mosby got along right from the start—they would wrestle one minute and then cuddle together the next. At Pancake’s first vet appointment only a few short weeks later, I received some very sad news. My poor little guy would need one of his kidneys removed. But NEAS was 100% supportive. I really can’t thank them enough for all of their help throughout the whole process. Now almost 5 months later, I still call him my miracle cat. He is such a happy-go-lucky kitten, getting himself into trouble by playing in the kitchen sink or climbing up the blinds. But the second I sit on the couch, he’s right by my side, snuggling up to my neck or in the crook of my arm. Such a cuddle bug! I couldn’t be happier with my little family! Thank you NEAS for all that you do! 🙂
