My husband John and I had been hoping to adopt a smaller dog and had been looking without success for a few months. We saw online that NEAS had just received some dogs, Including small ones, from LA and rushed up after work on April 18 to have a look. Never did I think I would find the dog love of my life that night! Fe Fe, a mini poodle mix, had arrived from LA and was ready to find her new home. When we went in the visiting room with Fe, she went right in my lap and I knew we were meant to be together.
Now named Fiona, she is our gentle, sweet and smart girl. She loves to be held, ride in the car and go for walks. She is amazing in our apartment – well mannered and has never had one accident. Whoever had her before us took good care of her and trained her well. It’s so nice to know we can give her a second home where she is loved and treasured. Fiona loves to travel and just got back from western MA where she spent time with her human extended family and dog cousins over Christmas. She is always ready to go somewhere whether by car, foot or even the T as long as she gets to hang out and be with her people. I still can’t believe I was so lucky to find her! Thank you for staying late that April night to make sure Fiona went home with us. We are forever grateful.
