We’ve re-named our puppy “Ollie,” and he’s doing great!  He is a very playful, lovable little guy and he’s adjusting very well to his new home and family.  He is mostly housebroken, with a few accidents, but he is doing well with that.  He is also learning to walk on a leash without pulling.  He goes for walks/runs with us daily and plays loose in the back yard with the kids.  He loves tennis balls and his stuffed Darth Vader toy.

He is eating well 3X a day (Blue Buffalo Wilderness formula) , and got a clean bill of health last week at his vet’s appointment.  He made friends with a cat there, and all of the people at the office.  He is chewing the heck out of everything he can possibly get his face near, but we are trying to re-direct his attention and give him a toy to chew on in place of the table legs etc.  Ollie loves to run, leap and play, and then finds one of us to cuddle up with and take a nap.  If we sit on the floor, he will come over and sit on our laps and go to sleep.  We are very happy that Ollie is part of our family!

I also want to say that our experience with Northeast Animal Shelter was such a positive one! It was such an easy adoption process, and you provided us with all of the information we needed to bring our puppy home and get him adjusted to his new surroundings.  We are so happy that we decided to adopt a dog from NEAS, and may consider adopting another (maybe older) dog in the next year or two.  I plan on writing a quick note to Ollie’s foster Mom to let her know how well he is doing and how happy he is with us and we are with him.  Thank you so much for all of your help, and for doing the great work that you do to save pets like Ollie!
