I adopted Delphi from Northeast Animal Shelter in May of this year. I knew from the second I saw her on the website she was the pup for me. I could not wait to get her home and settled. The first few weeks were an adjustment period for her (she spent 7 weeks in a cone because of an unforeseen ear operation) and for me, but in the end I could not be happier with bringing this little girl home. This country bumpkin’, she was rescued from Georgia, is now a proud Bostonian.
She spends her days sunbathing on the floor, destroying toys and waiting to see her friends at the dog park on the weekends. All of Delphi’s friends are big dogs as Delphi thinks she is despite weighing in at 17 lbs. She is a big dog trapped in a little dog’s body. Ha ha!
This month is her “birthday” and I am overjoyed knowing she will be spending her first birthday (of many more!) in her fur-ever home. Delphi is just the sweetest little girl anyone could have asked for. She is spunky, friendly and a true character. I even keep in touch with her foster family! Everyone who meets Delphi just loves her as much as I do. I can’t imagine not having Delphi as a part of my family.
